Weekend in Cotswolds – Part 2

Day two of our weekend in the Cotswolds was all about food, exploring small villages, and soaking up the countryside charm before heading home.

We kicked off the morning with a hearty farmhouse breakfast, fresh eggs, sausages, warm bread, and hot coffee, the perfect fuel for a full day of wandering. From there, we set off to visit some of the Cotswolds’ most picturesque spots, including Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury, and even a charming local fish farm. Each village felt like stepping back in time, with honey-coloured stone cottages, cozy tea rooms, and boutique shops that begged us to slow down and explore.

The Airio Pro Backpack really shone on this leg of the trip, roomy enough to hold all our essentials, and secure enough to keep everything safe as we navigated the busy village streets and waited in the famously long queues at some of the local favourites.

Before heading home, we couldn’t resist one final stop: The Farmers Dog Pub, run by Jeremy Clarkson. The pub is full of character, with its centrepiece, a tractor hanging from the ceiling, restored by Richard Hammond at The Smallest Cog. It’s a must-see if you’re a fan of Clarkson’s Farm or The Grand Tour. The food was incredible, a true celebration of local produce, cooked simply and beautifully.

Before we left, we wandered through the farm shop, (set up in the iconic Grand Tour tent and stocked up on even more goodies — all of which easily fit into the Kaze Backpack without weighing us down.

There’s just something magical about the Cotswolds.
